NOWHERE TO HIDE
By Debby Giusti / Steeple Hill

“Tyler!” she screamed as she ran toward him. Her feet splashed through puddles. Water splattered her legs. She slipped, caught herself, then continued on, desperate to reach her son.
Her lungs burned like fire. If anything happened to Tyler, she would never breathe again. Over and over, she cried his name, but the storm drowned out her words.
Her son moved closer to the Mercedes.
Lydia surged forward, flailing her arms. “Tyler! No! Stay away from the car!”
He was oblivious to the warning. “God, help me,” she cried.
Lightning ripped through the sky. Hit its mark. Thunder exploded behind her.
Tyler jumped at the sound. He turned, saw her and stepped away from the car.
The door opened. A hand reached out to grab him. Fingers hooked his book bag.

Excerpt from Nowhere to Hide

Someone’s after Lydia for information she doesn’t have. Ruthless men who will do anything to get what they want—including kidnap her son.

Lydia won’t turn to the police because they have her under suspicion for the setting the fire that killed her husband.

Matt blew a case because of a woman and his partner died. He left the force and lives with the guilt. He’s not likely to trust a woman with as many secrets in her eyes as Lydia. But the woman living in the house—tended by Matt’s private security firm—is tempting, very tempting.

Nowhere to Hide by Debby Giusti starts out with a bang and never lets up. Giusti makes the stakes sky high for Lydia and she’s either running scared, fighting for her life (and her son’s life) or agonizing over whether to tell Matt the truth.

Nowhere to Hide is a fast paced, taut suspense novel from a talented new author. I’ll be looking for Giusti’s next book with anticipation.
