April Gardner

"As a very young girl, I despised reading. My wise mother handed me the complete set of Laura Ingall’s Little House on the Prairie and said “You might enjoy these.” I sped through the series and haven’t stopped reading since.

I’ve lived 17 of my 27 years in Europe and Asia. My dad was in the USAF when he surrendered to mission work. At age 10, we moved to Spain where my parents still serve the Lord winning souls for Christ.

My husband served the Air Force in Ramstein, Germany for seven years, and in July 2005 we moved to RAF Lakenheath. We’re very excited about growing closer to each other and the Lord during this four year tour.

Jim and I have two wonderful children. Seth will be four this Christmas, and Morgan is two. In spite of the toll that mothering takes on body and mind, being a stay-at-home mom is the most blessed job there is.

In my free time, I enjoy writing, reading, scrapbooking, and cleaning. I appreciate books that make me think, inspire me to be a better Christian, and glorify the Lord."

  • The Lord wisely opened the doors for April and Catherine to meet. April loves books and is a strong reviewer. In the midst of writing a three-book series, she is applying her focus to several areas of publishing.

Jody Miller

Jody was born in New Brunswick, Canada, and lived there for 5 years. At age 5 she moved to Bolivia when her parents joined the Canadian Baptist Mission Board. Her school years were divided between Bolivia and Ontario, Canada. After graduating from high school in Bolivia, she received a B. Sc. in Nursing from University of Rochester, NY.

She met her husband of 19 years in the University of Michigan Hospital where she took her first staff job, and he was a surgical resident. Mike entered the Air Force in 1990, and they are now stationed at Lakenheath Air Force Base in the UK. Mike and Jody are blessed with 2 wonderful sons. Matt is 17, and preparing to leave the nest. John, 14, will stay and keep the parents entertained.

Jody enjoys cooking, reading, learning to watercolor, and the English countryside--she does not enjoy big cities!

Christina Rost

My name is Christina M. Rost. Steven, my husband of 13yrs, is an active duty Air Force member. I am a proud mother of two growing and active boys, David (11) and Eric (6). Our family has recently moved to Langley AFB, VA from the United Kingdom. We are enjoying costal living, and find the beach a perfect place to unwind.

I’m a stay-at-home mother and I feel extremely blessed to have this job. My dream is to become a published author. I’ve just started seriously writing my first book from a series of three. To put a story on to paper after it has developed in my imagination is such an exciting and consuming process!

When I have free time I write, travel, scrapbook, study biblical history or talk on the phone with my mom. Of course I love reading Christian fiction and think it can be such a valuable outreach tool.
